DF54 - Upper Burr Carrier Rubber Supports

Replacement rubber supports for the upper burr carrier in the DF54 coffee grinder.

These rubber supports sit on the lower burr chamber at the three support points beneath the upper burr carrier. Together with the grinder's wave spring, they help keep the upper burr carrier correctly seated and supported during operation.

The supports can become worn, damaged or displaced over time, and can also be affected by repeated removal and installation of the upper burr carrier during cleaning, servicing or burr changes.

When Might the Rubber Supports Need Replacing?

Replacement may be appropriate if:

• one or more of the original supports are damaged, worn or missing;
• a support has become deformed or displaced;
• the upper burr carrier is no longer seating evenly at its three support points; or
• replacement has been recommended while servicing the burr chamber.

These are replacement maintenance components rather than a performance upgrade. Correct upper burr carrier positioning also depends on the condition and installation of the upper burr carrier, wave spring, lower burr chamber and other components within the grinding assembly.

Installation Notes

Switch off and unplug the grinder before opening the grinding chamber.

When reinstalling the upper burr carrier, check that all three rubber supports are correctly positioned on the lower burr chamber and that the carrier sits evenly before reinstalling the adjustment collar. Keep the adjustment threads clean and do not force the collar if it does not engage smoothly.
