54mm to 58mm Portafilter Funnel (Breville 54mm)

This twist-lock adapter funnel makes it easy to pair a Breville 54mm portafilter with the 58mm system on the DF54 or DF64 Gen 2.

In addition to helping keep coffee grounds inside the basket, the funnel creates a wider outer profile that allows a compatible Breville 54mm portafilter to rest on the 58mm portafilter fork used by the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2. This gives Breville users the option to grind directly into the portafilter, rather than relying solely on the grinder's 58mm dosing cup.

The funnel can also be used when transferring coffee from a 58mm dosing cup into the smaller 54mm basket, helping bridge the difference between the two sizes while reducing spills during dosing, WDT and puck preparation.

A twist-lock fitting helps keep the funnel securely attached to the portafilter during grinding and preparation, while the raised walls provide additional working space above the basket for cleaner and more controlled distribution.

Use with the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2

The DF54 and DF64 Gen 2 are designed around 58mm dosing cups and portafilter forks, while many Breville espresso machines use smaller 54mm portafilters.

When fitted to a compatible Breville 54mm portafilter, this funnel provides a wider contact point that allows the portafilter to rest on the grinder's 58mm fork. This makes it possible to grind directly into the Breville portafilter with a compatible setup.

Alternatively, you can continue grinding into the grinder's 58mm dosing cup and use the funnel to transfer the coffee more cleanly into the Breville 54mm basket.

The funnel can be used with the dosing cups supplied with these grinders or with our Metal Dosing Cup for the DF54 and DF64 Gen 2.

Why Use a Dosing Funnel?

A dosing funnel extends the working area above the basket, helping keep freshly ground coffee inside the portafilter during grinding, transfer and distribution. It also provides additional room for WDT without grounds spilling over the edge of the basket.

For Breville users pairing a 54mm portafilter with a DF54 or DF64 Gen 2, this funnel has the added benefit of helping adapt the smaller portafilter to the grinder's 58mm fork, while also making transfer from a 58mm dosing cup easier when preferred.

Once distribution is complete, simply remove the funnel and tamp as normal.
